Fabric cutting is the first phase in the garment production process; it is the process of breaking a spread into garment sections that are the exact size and shape of the pattern pieces on a marker (by sectioning, bending, and cutting).

It is to some extent complicated to give exact definition of cutting. In garments industry, making of the garments parts by cutting of fabrics from the spread or lay of fabric accurately and fairly as per the drawing of the patterns, is called the cutting of fabrics.

Stitching is the process whereby fabric is fashioned into a finished product by means of different sewing techniques. The stitching stage holds extreme significance to ensure that the product takes its shape according to requirements.

Stitch is very important during manufacturing a garment. Stitch can be defined as, one unit of conformation resulting from one or more strands or loops of thread by intra-looping, inter-looping, and interlacing.

Finishing is one of the last major operations in the manufacture of garments before they are bagged or boxed and delivered to the finished goods warehouse. As the name implies, finishing covers all the operations required to complete a garment. For most garments this process starts after top pressing.

Garment packaging is the procedure of wrapping, compressing, filling or creating of goods for the purpose of protection too their appropriate handling. This is the concluding procedure inward the production of garments, which prepares the finished trade for delivery to the customer.

The packing section is the part finishing section of the readymade apparel industry. Normally, the packing section packs the goods as per ratio or assortment. In the later, the apparel inspector inspects the apparel product according to the apparel packing list.
